Monique Belzile has been heading up the Client Services team since GrantStream was in diapers. She and Rob Starr still argue over who was officially the first GrantStream employee – unfortunately for Rob, Monique might have this one on a technicality.

 

Monique has been indispensable in creating a client service group that is recognized for its responsiveness and knowledgeability. Her organizational, detail-oriented and multi-tasking abilities continue to impress us around the office. She can wax on capably about the nature of any client’s customized services, knows virtually every contact by name, can proficiently troubleshoot many problems that our clients might encounter, all while alternating between English and French. Monique’s desk can often be described as the GrantStream hub, where people flock to ask her questions about clients or other office-related matters. 

 

Before GrantStream, Monique nurtured her life-long passion for travel through studies in Travel & Tourism and by going on to work as a sales coordinator in the industry. She continues to nourish this love with her annual trips to far-off places, which have taken her to the likes of Australia, Spain, France, Switzerland, Greece, Panama, Bermuda…the list goes on.

 

Monique lives in Burlington, Ontario. In 2008, Monique trained to participate in the New York City Triathlon for the very first time. Fellow GrantStream-er Joseph Hachey joined her on the adventure. After much competitive ribbing in the run-up to the event, we were amused to discover that they crossed the finish line at the exact same time.

Nancy Renton brings more than 10 years of client relations experience to GrantStream, having previously worked with clients in manufacturing and technology industries. However, her most recent, most challenging but most rewarding full-time job of all involved running a household that included two boisterous children - now teen-aged son and daughter - an admirable feat that any busy mother can identify with.

Nancy also has some entrepreneurial experience under her belt. She used to run her own Afternoon Tea Catering company, inspiring queenly fantasies among elegant ladies and lucky little girls alike. As a mother, service rep, or entrepreneur, working with people to create great experiences has always been Nancy’s specialty, so we can be sure that when GrantStream clients call for support, they will be well taken care of with her.

In her spare time, Nancy enjoys stealing rare moments for herself to enjoy golf, tennis, bike riding, gardening or simply and utterly relaxing. She's also a regular volunteer at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario where she lives with her family.

Virgil Rucsandescu is the Crystal Reports Developer on the Client Services team, creating the vital and informative reports that clients call to request on a regular basis. Virgil studied Computer Science back in his native Romania, but his decision to complete these studies wasn’t necessarily an easy one. Virgil had the tough task of choosing between playing soccer professionally in the second Romanian league, and finishing university. When the chips were down, however, the strong pull of the practical was too much to resist. He went on to work for Dacia Felix Bank, Romania’s very first private bank, where he helped design its original database.

 

Virgil currently lives in Etobicoke, Ontario with his wife. He now enjoys watching soccer instead of playing it, chess, mountains and swimming. He would soon like to take a trip to the mountains in Romania, and if conditions are right, he might just take a swim in the mountains after a game of high altitude soccer, and maybe wind down afterwards with a rousing game of chess.
